The 1st Summer Course on Indonesian Education and Culture

 

For the first time, the History Masters Program presents the Summer Course program for international students from Japan and Myanmar with the theme of Introduction to the Education and Culture System in Indonesia. This activity was designed as an annual activity which was carried out as a collaborative program between the History Science Masters Program at the Faculty of Cultural Sciences and the Center for Asian Studies at Diponegoro University. This collaboration is expected to be able to attract foreign student visits to Diponegoro University through a network of foreign cooperation that has been owned and formed by the Center for Asian Studies Undip FIB.

This program aims to broaden knowledge about Indonesia by giving foreign students the opportunity to study Indonesian, the education system, Javanese culture especially at the family level. This program gives them the opportunity to interact with Javanese families and their neighborhoods.

Date: September 16-21 2017
Location: Semarang and Sragen, Central Java

Schedule
Day 1: opening ceremony and attending lectures
Day 2: Preparation for departure to Sragen from Semarang, Central Java
Day 3-5: – Visit to public and private schools in Sragen
– Experience interactions with Javanese families
Day 6: Presentation, discussion, evaluation, followed by farewell party
