Undip Team Successfully Achieved Achievement at the Japan Design Invention Expo 2017

TOKYO- The Diponegoro University (Undip) team won a brilliant achievement at the 2017 Japan Design Invention Expo (JDIE) event.

As reported by KampusUndip.com, at the event organized by WIIPA (World Invention Intellectual Property Associations) at Tokyo Big Sight on August 4-6 2017, the team represented by five Undip students won a Gold Medal in the Field of Technological Innovation.

The five Undip students are Ilham Alkian (Physics 2014), Taufik Hidayah (Historical Sciences 2014), Ledi Anggara (Physics 2014), Arif Hartato (Physics 2014), and M. Fijar Lazuardi (Historical Sciences 2014).

JDIE or Japan Design Invention Expo is a technology innovation-based competition that is participated by various countries, both from Asia and Europe. Countries participating in this competition include Japan, Taiwan, China, Malaysia, Thailand, India, Sri Lanka, Croatia and Indonesia.

Each country is represented by at least one team. The Undip team was one of the representatives from Indonesia who managed to get a gold medal or Gold Medal in this event.

“Some of the participants are still in the development stage of existing technology. Meanwhile, in other countries, there are some that are more into art which is more fresh in nature. It looks new and pleasing to the eye. There are several projects that have been proven and research has been carried out, some are still prototypes,” said Taufik in his press statement.
